Hi, my name is Chris, a.k.a. The Hip Hop Somm! I’m a wine educator and retail wine shop manager in the ATL.My philosophy: Wine is meant to be enjoyed, shared and explored with friends!I started to get interested in wine by working in restaurants as a server during my college years. Working at restaurants helped me understand food and how a wine could alter what we taste, for the good or the bad. Simultaneously I was pursuing a degree in Music Business Management and heavily influenced by hip hop culture. I wanted to combine both of my passions and this birthed the idea of “The Hip Hop Somm.”My Specialties: Sparkling and Natural wines. I love to introduce people to varietals that they normally wouldn’t drink but that have similarities to wines they drink regularly.
